Sandra Korth has been our library supervisor for 16 years. She oversees a 6,000 volume library consisting of books for all grade levels - picture, early reader chapter books, novels and non-fiction, along with a large collection of educational videos. Mrs. Korth has completely computerized the card catalog, and assists the teachers in implementing the Accelerated Reader program, which is used in grades 2 - 8 to improve our students’ reading comprehension. Rosa Contreras has worked at Our Lady of Refuge for the past 7 years in both 1st grade and kindergarten. She graduated from St. Joseph ’s High School and attended California State University at Long Beach, majoring in Early Childhood Education and Nutrition. She is married and has three children. She enjoys cooking, gardening, and is involved in various charitable endeavors.

 Miss Ann has been at Our Lady of Refuge for the last 8 years. She enjoys her time here and loves all the children. She is happy to be a part of the Our Lady of Refuge community.

Becca LeCou-Bacon has been a part of the Refuge family since she started working with the parish Confirmation team. She is a Long Beach native and has been working at Our Lady of Refuge School since 2007. She will graduate with a degree in Human Services in 2009 and will attend graduate school after that. In her free time, Becca enjoys spending time with her daughter.
