January was exciting in 5th Grade!

We all presented our Explorer Reports. Explorers are people who go on a journey to unknown territories to find new things. We all dressed up in costume and presented an oral report. My explorer was Liu Yang, she was the first Chinese Woman to fly into space on the Shenzhou 9.

In Project Lead the Way we are finishing up our VEX Robots. Our robots have color sensors to detect red lines
to help the robot navigate a course to pick up blocks. It is really exciting to see our robots in action.

Today in religion we had a test on the steps to become a canonized saint. Last week to celebrate Catholic Schools Week and Clergy Appreciation Day the whole school made cards and presented them to Fr. Gerard at Mass.

On Friday, 1st Grade lead the school for Mass.
